Hi Paddlers, 

If we get any rain, I am planning to hold a DR race before the banquet (10/26) on the lower Westfield from Downtown to the church. Currently no rivers have enough water to paddle down (without release which doesn't really exist in the area for anything), it is as close to the banquet as the lower Deerfield and right off I-90. If we get enough rain to bring that section up to even 400, it's a good little course. It is IMO proboat and kevlar/carbon friendly at 500 or higher. It's not dissimilar to the lower Deerfield except the rapid is right at the end instead of right at the start, good river reading makes a difference.  Anyway, keep that thought on your radar since it will likely be a last minute-ish call.
